Egg crating

When I saw this, the first thing I thought was I CAN DO THAT! I can, it's actually not that hard, but what's REALLY cool, is the scale. Does this guy have a giant laser cutter or what? It's a matter of developing a mass in 3d space, and then contouring it in 2 axis. The actual mass is then implied by these pieces. Looking good, now I wanna make one.

Melbourne-based architect Toby Horrocks has designed a collection of cardboard exhibition pods.

Toby says:

The abstract ‘icons’ represent four magazines published by Architecture Media, and were displayed at an exhibition of Australian Design Publishing, at the Gallery of Australian Design in Canberra. Cardboard is an ideal medium for temporary displays. This cardboard exhibition display was designed to be flat-packed for transport.
