I wish I was a Richard Meier Wiener
Just kidding.
This is where we're meeting for class tomorrow afternoon - at Meier's Contemporary Art Museum in Barcelona. Field trips are the best. I know not everyone is a fan of Richard Meier's work, but I am. Go to the Getty on a sunny February (or probably any) afternoon and you'll see why. I appreciate his careful use of geometry, sequence, circulation and expression of space. I also really dig that this guy has his very own refined style. There's some academic-speak for you. Good thing this isn't a paper & I can use the word "Dig" (and, well, not to mention, but I obviously am. . . "wiener"). Hopefully this time (unlike my afternoon at the Getty) I'll actually get to go check out the art.

MACBA via ARCSPACE ...."The nature of the site's existing paths and routes is reflected in the building's organization, most notably in the main entry, which is paralleled by a pedestrian passageway between the museum's public Sculpture Garden and a newly created plaza in front of the Museum, to be known as the Plaça dels Angels. This paseo will join the existing pedestrian network running through the old city. . . ."
